My Canon FTb is one of my favorites in the 35mm world. It strikes a good balance between simple, manual controls, and "modern" conveniences like a built-in light meter and the quick load mechanism. The light meter in the FTb is also very easy to read. The 50mm f/1.4 FD lens that I most often use with it is also well-known as a great value manual focus lens.
I used this camera a lot in college, and have many fond memories of taking it hiking and along with me on other outings. Nowadays, I'll usually take my Minolta Weathermatic with me for things like that, since the FTb feels more breakable and also weighs a lot.
Some of these may not have been taken with the FTb at all, but that's just my best guess. Older photos I have to guess on, because I didn't write it down.
